Lab Services

Clear Choice ER provides a fully-equipped, on-site laboratory. Our clinical team, coupled with our advanced laboratory testing equipment, provides the expertise to collect and analyze an extensive array of services.
Because time is critical in every emergency situation, our lab results are available to the emergency physician within a few minutes, allowing our team to make an accurate diagnosis and keep your wait time to a minimum. At Clear Choice ER, we know the sooner a diagnosis can be made, the faster a proper treatment plan can be determined, allowing you to heal and recover sooner at home.

CLIA Certified

Clear Choice ER is proud of its CLIA certification. Given by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the certification is given to those labs that have demonstrated a commitment to the adherence of federal regulatory laboratory testing standards. By having your samples tested at a CLIA certified lab, you can be sure the results you are getting are accurate, precise, and evaluated by a trained professional.

COLA Certified

Clear Choice ER is proud to be a COLA accredited lab. Laboratories accredited by COLA not only meet federal CLIA and state regulatory requirements, but are also recognized by the Joint Commission.

Nearly 8,000 medical labs across the U.S. are COLA accredited. Once accredited, COLA provides extensive education and consultation to ensure the lab maintains a high-level of quality performance that will meet all regulatory requirements, and ensure patient trust and confidence in the accuracy of each sample tested.

ADVANCED IMAGING SERVICES

Getting your results fast and accurately is an important component of any ER service, which is why Clear Choice Emergency Room invested in the very latest advanced equipment for its imaging services. We have the ability to quickly perform an exam and evaluate images to allow our team to diagnose your condition accurately and quickly, so you can be on your way home as soon as possible to begin the healing process.

Digital X-Ray

At Clear Choice ER, you’ll find the DigitalDiagnost X-Ray, a digital system that offers the ability to manipulate the image using computer enhancing software. This allows the radiologist to make them clearer, larger, or increase or decrease the contrast for a better view—which in-turn provides for a more accurate diagnose. With digital x-ray, you will spend less time waiting, with less radiation emitted into your body. Digital X-rays are less expensive and more environmentally-friendly because there is no film requiring developing. They can be viewed on a computer monitor within seconds of taking the image.

Computed Tomography (CT) Scan

Clear Choice ER features the Philips Brilliance 16-Slice CT. It provides extensive coverage, thin slices, and excellent spatial resolution. This system’s proven complete performance provides impressive image quality for routine, orthopedic, whole body and advanced application imaging like CT Angio and pulmonary embolism.
Computed Tomography (CT), also known as computerized tomography or computed axial tomography (CAT), is advanced X-ray technology that produces a sequence of detailed cross-sectional images of the interior of the head, spine, chest, abdomen or other areas of the body. The complex images are produced by rotating a focused X-ray beam around the patient and taking these X-ray images from numerous angles, guided by a computer. CT examinations produce detailed organ studies by capturing multiple individual image “slices.”

Ultrasound

An ultrasound scan is a medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your body. It’s also known as sonography. An ultrasound allows your doctor to see problems with organs, vessels, and tissues without needing to make an incision. Unlike other imaging techniques, ultrasound uses no radiation. For this reason, it’s the preferred method for viewing a developing fetus during pregnancy.

Clear Choice ER features the Philips Sparq Ultrasound. The Sparq makes scanning and interpreting quality ultrasound images at the point-of-care as simple and efficient as possible.
